Who made my dog a model and didn't tell me???
Here it is if you'd like to take a look. Page 1, bottom left.
If you were able to see it in person...this is the face that Coda makes 30 seconds before he yaks in the car. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Wisconsin Bound
While it has been a little disappointing in the snow category this year in Indiana, Wisconsin has been getting hit extremely hard. Madison recently set the record for snowfall this winter (and it is only part way through February). But it looks like the forecast only calls for cold while we are up there, not really any snow.

Good luck at State Kyle

What a boring week....
Finally got back to running this week after being out for 5 weeks with a heel injury, and my body definitely let me know about it. And my times for our typical 3.6 mile run at lunch showed it. I've got some work ahead of me before I run the Mini-Marathon in May. I hadn't really thought about it, but I will have to be running at least a little bit while we are in Hawaii because it is right in the middle of the home stretch of training.
While I am writing this, Shawnna is informing me that she did not have a boring week. She had a great week teaching at one of her favorite schools, working out and doing a little tanning (so she doesn't burn in Hawaii).
Ok, so I guess it wasn't that boring of a week after all.
Shawnna here--my week was VERY FULL! I taught at a school that I enjoy, the kids were great! I had some thoughtful questions, nothing funny enough to share though.
I worked out at the Y 3 times...I don't feel nearly as guilty watching Dr. Phil if I do so while I'm on an elliptical machine.
I tanned twice. I firmly believe I am one of those people who get depressed when there isn't enough sunshine, because after my tanning sessions I felt WONDERFUL! For those of you who are thinking "What is she doing in a tanning bed, doesn't she know they give you cancer??" I have permission. So There. No, really, I do. I got to enjoy sun poisoning on our honeymoon. Didn't think much of it. But when I got it again the following summer, I went to the doctor. She believes that because of my sensitive skin, I'm also sensitive to the sun. Because I do wear sunscreen and it still happens, she recommended that I do a little tanning before being outside alot.
My dad was in the hospital this week. He passed out at home Wednesday night, was having chest pains and trouble breathing. I truly thought he was having a heart attack. I drove over to see him Thursday. We found out he has a severe sinus infection, an ulcer and is under too much stress. Praising God it's not his heart!!! I just started speaking to him again about 3 years ago...all I could think about and pray was that we were finally getting to know each other as adults, I didn't want to lose him now.
And to end the week, Lance got outside Friday afternoon and managed to get up on the roof. I had to take a screen out of one of the windows upstairs to get him back inside. I wish I had taken a picture!!
I suppose it depends on your point of view, but No, it wasn't a boring week after all.

Happy New Year
They were completely exhausted by the time that we came home and slept for over 14 hour straight the first night we were back.

Yes, I can post too
My dilemma is what to write...you see...not much exciting happens to me personally. I don't have any great accolades to brag about or kids to show off or great travel stories. Not that Dan is bragging...I'm quite proud of him and his accomplishments........Not that I don't consider my dogs and cats my kids (because I do!!).......And not that we don't travel....... I'm just not sure others want to hear about those things. However, sometimes teaching sex. ed. to middle school kids can be quite humorous. Last week I had a 7th grade boy ask me "what's menopause and why is it making my mom so nuts?" I nearly laughed out loud!! I just wanted to hug him, he was so sweet.
so much fun!

MARCH- We planted early salad greens. And had Wetnight family photos taken.

APRIL- Tess got a new Pink collar.

MAY-Dan and I did the Mini Marathon together. (13.1 miles)
We went to Kevin and Nikkis' for Mother's Day with Householders.
JUNE-I spent I good portion of my time going to and from Brazil to help out with grandpa's chemo appointments.
JULY-I spent a week in Brazil while my aunt was out of town. The majority of this time was spent in the hospital with Grandpa.
We took the "Householder Family Vacation" to Colorado. There is a link around here somewhere so you can see the pics.
AUGUST: Spent lots of time in Brazil. All the pets had their annual checkups. Everyone's healthy.
SEPTEMBER: Back to work. Spent lots of time in Brazil. Whitt had her gallbladder removed. Spent a weekend in Wisconsin.
OCTOBER: Grandpa passed on Sunday the 28th. He was a like a father to me.

Merry Christmas and All the Best in the New Year!
