Yes, I can post too

Shawnna here--So I've had a few people mention that the posts are all from Dan's point of view....and that although our title is "Indy Householder's", the content thus far is mostly about him. Well, here I am !! And yes, I have to agree with you, my description of the washer/Christmas tree disaster would have been much more colorful!

My dilemma is what to write...you see...not much exciting happens to me personally. I don't have any great accolades to brag about or kids to show off or great travel stories. Not that Dan is bragging...I'm quite proud of him and his accomplishments........Not that I don't consider my dogs and cats my kids (because I do!!).......And not that we don't travel....... I'm just not sure others want to hear about those things. However, sometimes teaching sex. ed. to middle school kids can be quite humorous. Last week I had a 7th grade boy ask me "what's menopause and why is it making my mom so nuts?" I nearly laughed out loud!! I just wanted to hug him, he was so sweet.

So.....for my first official post I'll do a Year in Review. (If I can remember the things that happened...thank God for pictures!!).

JANUARY-We spent New Year's Eve at home---I was sick.
FEBRUARY-As we've done for the past 5 Valentine's Day ...we cooked a nice meal together and discussed goals for the upcoming year. We had a crazy snow/ice storm. It was
so much fun!

MARCH- We planted early salad greens. And had Wetnight family photos taken.

APRIL- Tess got a new Pink collar.

And we participated in the Indianapolis Humane Society Mutt Strut. It was a bit warm for the dogs on the track, but we had a blast!! A BIG Thank You to everyone who donated. And don't forget to help control the pet population..have your pet spayed or neutered : )

MAY-Dan and I did the Mini Marathon together. (13.1 miles)

We went to Kevin and Nikkis' for Mother's Day with Householders.

JUNE-I spent I good portion of my time going to and from Brazil to help out with grandpa's chemo appointments.

JULY-I spent a week in Brazil while my aunt was out of town. The majority of this time was spent in the hospital with Grandpa.

My cousin Lacey was married.

We took the "Householder Family Vacation" to Colorado. There is a link around here somewhere so you can see the pics.

AUGUST: Spent lots of time in Brazil. All the pets had their annual checkups. Everyone's healthy.

SEPTEMBER: Back to work. Spent lots of time in Brazil. Whitt had her gallbladder removed. Spent a weekend in Wisconsin.

OCTOBER: Grandpa passed on Sunday the 28th. He was a like a father to me.

NOVEMBER: Grandpa was buried on Nov. 1st. My birthday was the 6th. We spent Thanksgiving at Grandmas and then a weekend in Wisconsin.

DECEMBER: Well we've had some snow and ALOT of rain.Blah! We have some really cute pictures of the tree and the cats, but they're still on the camera.

Merry Christmas and All the Best in the New Year!
